Page 51- Sri Raag Mahala 5- ਕਾਮਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿ ਅਹੰਕਾਰਿ ਮਾਤੇ ਵਿਆਪਿਆ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥ The world is drunk, engrossed in sexual desire, anger and egotism. ਪਉ ਸੰਤ ਸਰਣੀ ਲਾਗੁ ਚਰਣੀ ਮਿਟੈ ਦੂਖੁ ਅੰਧਾਰੁ ॥੨॥ Seek the Sanctuary of the Saints, and fall at their feet; your suffering and darkness shall be removed. ||2|| ਸਤੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਦਇਆ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਏਹ ਕਰਣੀ ਸਾਰ ॥ Practice truth, contentment and kindness; this is the most excellent way of life. ਆਪੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਸਭ ਹੋਇ ਰੇਣਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ॥੩॥ One who is so blessed by the Formless Lord God renounces selfishness, and becomes the dust of all. ||3|| Page 600- Sorath Mahala 3- ਇਸੁ ਦੇਹੀ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪੰਚ ਚੋਰ ਵਸਹਿ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰਾ ॥ Within this body dwell the five thieves: sexual desire, anger, greed, emotional attachment and egotism. ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਲੂਟਹਿ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਨਹੀ ਬੂਝਹਿ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸੁਣੈ ਪੂਕਾਰਾ ॥ They plunder the Nectar, but the self-willed manmukh does not realize it; no one hears his complaint. ਅੰਧਾ ਜਗਤੁ ਅੰਧੁ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ ਬਾਝੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਬਾਰਾ ॥੨॥ The world is blind, and its dealings are blind as well; without the Guru, there is only pitch darkness. ||2|| Page 911- Ramkali Mahala 3- ਕਾਇਆ ਕੰਚਨੁ ਸਬਦੇ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਾਚੈ ਨਾਇ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧੮॥ Imbued with the Shabad, the body becomes golden, and loves only the True Name. ||18|| ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਰਹੀ ਭਰਪੂਰੇ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ॥੧੯॥ The body is then filled to overflowing with Ambrosial Nectar, obtained by contemplating the Shabad. ||19|| ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਖੋਜਹਿ ਸੇਈ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਹੋਰਿ ਫੂਟਿ ਮੂਏ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥੨੦॥ Those who seek God, find Him; others burst and die from their own egotism. ||20|| ਬਾਦੀ ਬਿਨਸਹਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਹੇਤਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੨੧॥ The debaters waste away, while the servants serve, with love and affection for the Guru. ||21|| Page 1356- Sahaskriti Mahala 5- ਸੈਨਾ ਸਾਧ ਸਮੂਹ ਸੂਰ ਅਜਿਤੰ ਸੰਨਾਹੰ ਤਨਿ ਨਿੰਮ੍ਰਤਾਹ ॥ The Holy people are an invincible army of spiritual warriors; their bodies are protected by the armor of humility. ਆਵਧਹ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਰਮਣੰ ਓਟ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦ ਕਰ ਚਰਮਣਹ ॥ Their weapons are the Glorious Praises of the Lord which they chant; their Shelter and Shield is the Word of the Guru’s Shabad. ਆਰੂੜਤੇ ਅਸ੍ਵ ਰਥ ਨਾਗਹ ਬੁਝੰਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਾਰਗਹ ॥ The horses, chariots and elephants they ride are their way to realize God’s Path. ਬਿਚਰਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਯੰ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਸੈਨਾ ਧਾਯੰਤੇ ਗੋੁਪਾਲ ਕੀਰਤਨਹ ॥ They walk fearlessly through the armies of their enemies; they attack them with the Kirtan of God’s Praises. ਜਿਤਤੇ ਬਿਸ੍ਵ ਸੰਸਾਰਹ ਨਾਨਕ ਵਸੵੰ ਕਰੋਤਿ ਪੰਚ ਤਸਕਰਹ ॥੨੯॥ They conquer the entire world, O Nanak! And overpower the five thieves. ||29||
